The Haywire Twist – A step by step tutorial
Form a loop using a pair of round nose pliers and leaving a tag of 50mm (2”), you can vary the size of your loop according to your requirements by moving the wire up or down the taper of the pliers

Finish the loop that the main wire and the tag are perpendicular (90 degrees) to each other

Begin to twist the main line and tag over each other at least 4 times, you must ensure that both wires twist over each other to form the correct twist so that your finished loop will not slip

You then wrap the tag wire at least 4 times over the main wire

Once finished wrapping you simply bend the tag wire back towards the loop and it will break off leaving you a smooth haywire twist.
Do not cut the tag off as this will cause a sharp edge.

You then wrap the tag wire at least 4 times over the main wire

Once finished wrapping you simply bend the tag wire back towards the loop and it will break off leaving you a smooth haywire twist.

Do not cut the tag off as this will cause a sharp edge.
